Laminated or Encapsulated?
Some manufacturers state that their posters or wallcharts are laminated but what does this mean? For many posters laminating simply means adding a thin 12 micron film over the front surface of the poster which can be wiped clean. However this process does not protect the poster from damage, e.g. being brushed off a wall by pupils in a busy school environment. Our posters are encapsulated (which we believe most people think of as laminating), which involves putting the poster in a thick 75 micron sheath with a 5mm border around the side. The posters are not only wipeable but protect them far more if they were to fall off the wall.
